DAY 1
ARRIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Arrive in San Francisco, where you’ll meet your private driver for your transfer to Napa Valley and your luxury accommodations. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, perhaps taking advantage of the on-site pool or spa at Solage, an Auberge Resort & Spa, before dinner on the terrace.
DAY 2
NAPA VALLEY | FARM TO TABLE
Relax on a leisurely morning, taking advantage of the amenities on offer at your hotel. In the early afternoon, meet your private driver-guide for a transfer to Peju Winery, where you join your host at the winery kitchen or at their al fresco wood-fired brick oven for a private, hands-on cooking lesson. Pick vegetables and herbs from their organic garden and learn special tips for making delicious farm-to-table, wine-country inspired meals — and for pairing your dish with the perfect varietal. In the late afternoon, visit the nearby charming town of St. Helena to browse its shops and galleries before returning to your hotel for a relaxing evening at your leisure.
Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
DAY 3
NAPA VALLEY | GUIDED WINE JOURNEY
Internationally known as one of the world's greatest wine regions, Napa Valley has more than 45,000 acres of picturesque rolling hills planted with vineyards year-round, with several hundred wineries calling the valley home. Explore a carefully chosen few with your guide during a day of specially arranged private tastings at three outstanding wineries, selected to match your preferences and palate. Breakfast and lunch are provided.
DAY 4
SONOMA VALLEY | A DAY OF VITICULTURE
After breakfast, set out on a day of exploration in the Sonoma Valley, which lies to the west of Napa Valley. Stop for a glass of bubbly at one of the best sparkling wine houses in the Carneros region, then continue to an award-winning shared wine-paired lunch in a beautiful Sonoma Valley setting, surrounded by vineyards. Finish your day with a visit to one of the award-winning Pinot Noir wineries for which Sonoma’s Russian River Valley is famed, then arrive at your new accommodations, The Farmhouse Inn, by late afternoon. Relax and freshen up, then join the Inn’s sommelier for a private wine tasting. Afterward, enjoy dinner locally at your leisure, perhaps at the inn’s Michelin-starred restaurant. Breakfast and lunch are included.
DAY 5
SONOMA VALLEY | REDWOODS & OYSTERS
After breakfast, join your private, certified naturalist-guide for a morning tour of the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. California’s redwoods are the tallest living things on earth — the tallest is more than 300 feet high. They’re also among the planet’s oldest life, with one in particular (known affectionately as Colonel Armstrong) dating back some 1,400 years. Listen as your private guide explains the complex ecology and fascinating history of the coastal redwood groves. After your walk, drive south through the rolling hills of Sonoma and Marin to Point Reyes Station for a dive deep into the heart of the Tomales Bay oyster world. Go behind the scenes on a private exploration of a local oyster farm to discover what goes into farming sustainable bivalves. Then, taste the beautifully prepared aphrodisiac— raw, baked, barbecued and smoked — while taking in gorgeous waterfront views. Return to your accommodations by mid-afternoon with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Breakfast and lunch are included.
